It's another "ugh" day for the books. We don't have any news. The hearing that was scheduled for today was postponed to next Wednesday- can you see why I'm beginning to LOATHE Wednesdays? The prosecutor is just putting it off. Hopefully he won't come up with anything else to protest in the meantime. Our papers have been submitted and the lawyer is doing her job. Now we continue to wait. That is the only news I have.
We are visiting Sedona and seeing the beautiful scenery of northern Arizona for the next couple of days. We just had to get out of dodge to help pass the time while we wait for news. At least we have the move next week to help keep us busy while we wait.
Of course we'll be in touch as soon as we hear something. We have not forgotten about our Emily waiting for us in Taldy Korgan. In fact, our resolve only grows as the wait gets longer.
Please continue to pray for us! We still need to be covered in those prayers! They help us cope day to day and keep everything in perspective. We are reminded of how long God waited on us to come to him as his adopted children, and our waiting is not in vain. Last week in church Pastor Sam talked about how short our attention span is nowadays- how a three hour movie feels "long" or how waiting in line at the fast food joint feels "long" when it's just minutes... and how that affects our ability to really know how to WAIT. I think we're learning our lesson, Lord. We've got it down! Now can we go get Emily???? :)
Thanks for your continued faithful prayers...

Carrie, Chris, and Taylor,
The time we spent together recently was great. Thank you for the laughs and encouragement.
As you know, we are praying for you. And I hereby declare that there are no more Wednesdays. Tuesday and Thursday are just longer. How's that?
Love you,
Joel and Nancy
Carrie,
A quote from Anne Lamott's Traveling Mercies
Grace... that force that infuses our lives and keeps letting us off the hook. It is unearned love - the love that goes before, that greets us on the way. It's the help you receive when you have no bright ideas left, when you are empty and desparate and have discovered that your best thinking and most charming charm have failed you."
Grace happens! And in the mean time our thoughts and prayers are with you as you wait these long and empty hours.
Praying for a good report this week! :)
Have you heard anything today yet? I'm anxious to hear!
