Key Word "Tentative"

For those of you keeping up with this blog still... we have some bad news. Chris will not be leaving for Almaty on Dec. 18th. There has been a delay in our court proceedings and we are unable to travel to pick up Emily at this time.
Our adoption decree is still good- the judge has not cancelled it- which means Emily is ours. However, one of the prosecutors (not the one in court with us) has protested all of the adoption decrees in Taldy Korgan. That means the other three families adoptions are being protested as well. For us that means renewing three documents in our dossier that have expired. We are already working on that right now so we can get them apostilled in Phoenix and sent to Almaty ASAP.
The bad news is that Emily will not be coming home on Dec. 29th afterall. Chris will be unable to travel in Jan/Feb so it looks like I will be going back for Emily. We'll wait and see where we're at and what's going on before any final decisions are made. Just when I thought the hardest part of this journey was over, we get another delay. But we are getting pretty good at waiting on the Lord. I know you share our dissaapointed hearts- mostly just for little Emily who is waiting on us in that little baby house in Taldy Korgan. I hope she dreams of us. We dream of her and can't wait to bring her home.
Patiently waiting...

Carrie-

So sorry to hear this for you all and for Emily. I'll pray that the Lord will unite you with her soon!
