Wednesday in Almaty

Hello friends! We are in Almaty enjoying the sights and sounds of the busy city. We leave Thursday morning for Taldy-Korgan, the region about 2 hours away where we'll meet our child! We got about 3 hours of sleep last night (but it really felt like 12!)and enjoyed a nice "continental" style breakfast at the hotel restaurant. At least they had COFFEE! :)
We are busy hanging out with two other families that are also going to Taldy-Korgan. They are all from Bemus Point and Lockport if you can believe that! Of course you have to travel halfway around the world to meet people from your own backyard!
Thanks for praying and keeping up with us. We love reading your comments!!
Taylor is doing great- having lots of fun playing with Lexi, adopted from Almaty three years ago. Her mom is here to adopt a sibling as well. The couple from Lockport is adopting their firstborn. It's so awesome to share this with them!
Gotta go, we're paying by the minute here at the internet cafe.
Love to you all and we'll try to post some pictures as soon as we can.
The Abes

Hi Abes,
We are so glad to hear that the journey is going well. Who needs sleep when you are running on anticipation and excitement?!? We checked your place last night and all is well. Mark just sent me an email from work that they had received word from Chris and everyone there is so excited for all of you too. Good luck and God Bless.

How did you all meet these other couples? Did you just run into them, or are you in some sort of group with Tatyana?

Chris, Carrie, and Taylor -

It is so exciting to hear about your journey!

No word on our adoption, yet. We are trying to be patient.

Anyway, know that we are praying and we are on the edge of our seats with excitement for you and your family.
