We're going to Kaz!

Hello All-
Well, it's official! We found out on Friday, October 6th that we received our LOI (Letter of Invitation) from Kazakhstan to go and meet our soon-to-be child! God is so good!
We are busy booking our flights, obtaining our visas, and preparing for our long trip! There is so much to think about and do!
Originally, AWAA (our adoption agency) told us that the child available is under 18 months and they didn't know if it was a boy or a girl. For further clarification, I asked about the whole 'referral' thing, and it turns out that the referral is not set in stone. That means when we get there other children could be available besides the one we travelled to see. That is fine with us. We believe God has our child already chosen for us. It's only a matter of time before we meet him/her!
Well, this is my first official blog post and now I have to let everyone know that we have a blog! This will be a great and easy way for us to share our daily experiences while we're in Kaz. Please check back periodically for updates.
We love you all and thanks for sharing this wonderful adoption journey with us!
Love,
The Abes

Congratulations! This is so exciting! It's like an old-fashioned pregnancy - before they could tell the sex of the baby. How soon will you travel???
